Fiachra Shanks

Fiachra started out busking the streets of his native Dublin at the age of fifteen, and was the vocalist in Dublin based
punk rock band Mutant Aslyum, playing gigs up and down the country with the well known Paranoid Visions .
Over the years he has been involved with many different projects and bands, such as Daniel Figgis (ex Virgin Prunes) ,
Kila, Eamon Dowd and the Racketeers, Nina Hynes, Liam Coade and others .
As well as playing, he is an accomplished
sound engineer in both live and studio scenarios. Fiachra has been living in London where he met The Popes two years ago. He is the multi-instrumentalist in The Popes, playing mandolin, guitar, blues harp, banjo and others .
